The Noblesville Millers Gymnastics team flipped right past the Roncalli Rebels and Scecina Memorial Crusaders on Thursday night at The Gymnastics Company in Indianapolis, finishing in first place with 97.475. Roncalli scored 94.625 to place second, and Scecina Memorial scored 57.975 to finish in third.
Individual results are as follows:
Leading the way for the Millers was freshman Makayla Kauzlick with her outstanding vault score of 9.0, placing first and winning the vault competition. Sophomore Olivia Mangin placed third with a career-high 8.7, and senior Lauren Murray placed sixth with her score of 8.4.
Kauzlick led the way for the Millers on the bars with her first-place finish of 8.775. Sophomore Grace Kwiatkowski placed second with her score of 7.975, and junior Devyn Palmer placed fifth with her score of 7.150.
Mangin led the Millers on the beam with her solid routine and a beam stick that contributed to her first place and career-high score of 8.000. Palmer placed second with her score of 7.650 and Kauzlick finished in sixth place with her score of 7.350.
Kauzlick’s solid second place score of 8.650 led the Millers in the floor routines; Palmer placed sixth with her score of 8.100.
Makayla Kauzlick won the all-around competition with her score of 33.775, Devyn Palmer’s 31.250 earned third place honors, and Olivia Mangin took fifth place with her career-high 31.250.
Noblesville will compete at the Northwestern Invitational on Saturday, January 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Northwestern High School.
