The Noblesville Millers Baseball team’s season came to an end on Monday at Donald J. Dunker Field in Noblesville, falling to the Fishers Tigers 5-3.
The game was tied at three with Fishers batting in the top of the seventh when Ben Burton tripled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.
In the first inning, Fishers got their offense started. Matt Wolff singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
The Millers knotted the game up at three in the bottom of the sixth inning, when an error scored one run for Noblesville Millers.
Daniel Owens was the winning pitcher for Fishers. He lasted one and one-third innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out two and walking one. Alex Klotz threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Jackson Ramey took the loss for Noblesville. He went three innings, allowing two runs on two hits, striking out four and walking zero.
Grant Richardson started the game for Fishers. He surrendered one run on four hits over five innings, striking out ten Clay Holzworth started the game for Noblesville.
