The No. 3 ranked Noblesville Millers continued their run of success during their 2020 campaign, this time running away from the field to win the 2020 IHSAA Noblesville Sectional at Chinquapin Ridge Cross Country Course on Saturday.

Dominating the field, the Millers’ Travis Hickner, Asher Propst, Joel Mumaw, and Cole Kimmel finished 1-2-3-4 respectively. Billy Gregory finished in 6th and Caden Click finished 9th to give the Millers six runners in the top 10. Andrew Anderson finished in 21st, as the Millers placed every runner in the top 25.

Hickner, who earlier this season broke the longstanding school record in the 5k and also earned the individual HCC Championship, finished as the individual Sectional Champion, adding to his growing list of accomplishments during the 2020 season. Travis finished with a time of 15:45.5 to become Noblesville’s first individual Sectional Champion since Kevin Keelen claimed victory at the 1994 Carmel Sectional.

With the championship title, the Millers have claimed the 2nd Sectional Championship in program history and the first since 1986. Current Noblesville head coach Bill Kenley finished in 6th place on the ’86 Millers sectional championship team.

Noblesville will continue to chase down history on Saturday, as their season has now advanced to the Noblesville Regional on Saturday, right back at home at Chinquapin Ridge Cross Country Course located at White River Elementary School.
