Noblesville Millers Varsity lost the lead late in a 7-4 defeat to Hamilton Southeastern on Thursday. The game was tied at four with Hamilton Southeastern batting in the bottom of the sixth when an error scored one run for Hamilton Southeastern.
In the first inning, Hamilton Southeastern got their offense started. G Droste doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.
Noblesville Millers Varsity tallied three runs in the fifth inning. Noblesville Millers Varsity’s offense in the inning came from a single by Cooper Miles, a sacrifice fly by DJ Owens, and a double by Ethan Imel.
M Dillon was the winning pitcher for Hamilton Southeastern. He allowed seven hits and four runs over six innings, striking out eight. C Graverson threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Clay Holzworth took the loss for Noblesville Millers Varsity. He allowed seven hits and six runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out six.
Lucas Williams went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Noblesville Millers Varsity in hits.
B Harrison led Hamilton Southeastern with three hits in four at-bats.
