Noblesville Millers Varsity had everything working on Saturday, winning big over Westfield 11-4
In the first inning, Westfield got their offense started. Tyler Smitherman drove in one when he doubled.
Noblesville Millers Varsity pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third Cooper Miles singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, an error scored one run for Noblesville Millers Varsity, Zach Gruver drew a walk, scoring one run, and Josh Stegner induced Cole Barnes to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.
Noblesville Millers Varsity scored five runs in the sixth inning. Gruver, Barnes, and Brady Walden powered the big inning with RBIs.
Camden Nagel was the winning pitcher for Noblesville Millers Varsity. He lasted six innings, allowing seven hits and three runs while striking out five and walking one. Ethan Leslie threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Payton Tamm took the loss for Westfield. He surrendered four runs on four hits over two innings, striking out one.
