The Noblesville Millers took the lead late and defeated Westfield JV 4-3 on Saturday. The game was tied at two with the Millers batting in the bottom of the sixth when Alex Zavac doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.
Noblesville got on the board in the first inning. The Millers scored one run when Mason Bohland singled.
Noah Bennington led the Millers to victory on the mound. He surrendered one run on two hits over three-and-a-third innings, striking out five. Hunter Morrison threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Morrison recorded the last three outs to earn the save for the Millers.
South took the loss for Westfield JV. He lasted five and two-thirds innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out five and walking one.
Grayden Addison started the game for Noblesville. He allowed one hit and one run over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three
Brayden Colon, Jacob Weiler, Dean White, Josh Kern, Bohland, and Zavac each managed one hit to lead the Millers.
