The Noblesville Millers Girls Track & Field team finished 4th place in Tuesday’s Sectional at Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers.
The following Millers advanced to next Tuesday’s Lafayette Jefferson Regional, which begins at 6:15 p.m.:
Shelby Tyler (JR) advanced in three events. Her 6’ high jump set a new school record and was the best jump in Sectional. Shelby also advanced in the Pole Vault and is a member of the advancing 4x100m Relay team.
Abi Little (SR) advances in three events. Her 5:09 time is the 3rd fastest time in Sectional competition. Abi also advanced the 4x400m Relay and the 4x800m Relay.
Bella Sharples-Gordon (FR) placed 3rd in the 800m Run and advanced. She also advanced in three events, including the 4x400m Relay and the 4x800m Relay.
Not to be outdone, teammate Anna Hazelrigg (SO) also advanced with the 5th seed. Anna advanced in two events, including being a member of the 4x800m Relay.
Kailyn Ely (SO) advanced with the 7th spot in the 100m Dash. She is also a member of the 4x100m Relay team that advanced.
While we’re still waiting for the Benton Central Sectional results the coaching staff is confident that Erika Kneiper (JR) will advance in the Pole Vault. Erika would be the 7th seed at Regional.
The 4x100m Relay team advanced with a time of 50.65 will be the 5th seed at Regional. Members of this relay team include Delaney Boles (FR), Kailyn Ely (SO), Grace Brisco (JR), and Shelby Tyler (JR).
The 4x400m Relay team will advance; they placed 6th in the four competing sectionals. Members of this relay team include Grace Brisco (JR), Abi Little (SR), Bella Sharples-Gordon (FR), and Anna Hazelrigg (SO).
The 4x800m Relay team placed 2nd and posted the 3rd fastest time (9:29) of the sectional round of the State Tournament. The team is made up of: Abi Little (12), Bella Sharples-Gordon (9), Anna Hazelrigg (10) and Aubrie Deal (11).
