The Millers hosted Culver Academies on Wednesday, May 2nd at Hare Field. It was an exciting game with the Millers coming out on top of opponent, Culver in overtime, 8-7.

The Millers came out slow in the first half, falling behind, 3-7 at half. With a strong defensive effort, the Millers held Culver to their half time core of seven. Olivia Long had six forced turnovers for the Millers. Erin Wilson picked up four ground balls. But, the overall effort was with Grace Hammond. She had three ground balls and four forced turnovers.

The offense struggled to find the back of the net in the first half, too. The Millers had just three goals going into half time. The offense picked up the pace with efforts from Kaylin Mertens and Emma Potter scoring two goals each. Potter, a freshman, scored the winning goal in the sudden victory overtime.

The Millers will host Bishop Chatard on Saturday,May 5th for its annual Doubleheader Day! The varsity team plays at 1:00 pm. The youth will be recognized between games and teachers will be honored immediately following the varsity game.
