Noblesville Girls Lacrosse welcomed Guerin Catholic to Beaver Materials Field on Tuesday.
The Millers’ JV team faced a determined group from Guerin, dropping a 14-3 decision. The Millers were led offensively by Ava McCall, Kaelyn Seyfried, and Bri Miller with one goal apiece. Kyra Knight collected 3 ground balls and forced 1 turnover and Marisha Woehler added 2 ground balls and 3 forced turnovers. Goalkeepers Emilia Bullock and Abigail Nickloy each saved 5 shots shots.
The varsity game featured sectional opponent Guerin Catholic in a hotly contested game. The Millers were able to hold off the Golden Eagles 9-7, handing Guerin Catholic their first loss of the season. Senior midfielder Emma Potter fired in 6 goals and grabbed 4 Draw Controls while also leading the defense with 5 Ground Balls and 5 Forced Turnovers. Freshman Chloe Barnett added 2 second half goals and senior Mallory Miller closed out the scoring. Senior Chaney Cornell nabbed 2 Ground Balls and Forced 2 Turnovers while Junior Maddie Reel stopped 9 goals, 4 on Free Position shots.
The Millers move to 4-0 on the season and will be back in action April 8 traveling to Evansville North.
