Noblesville Millers Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 10-1 loss to Fishers on Saturday. Fishers scored on a single by Dominic Oliverio, a walk by Kaid Muth, a double by Daniel Owens, and a fielder’s choice by Charlie Walker in the first inning.
The Noblesville Millers Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Fishers, giving up ten runs.
Fishers fired up the offense in the first inning. Oliverio drove in one when he singled.
Tristan Baker pitched Fishers to victory. He lasted five innings, allowing seven hits and one run while striking out eight. Mason Sweeney and Micheal Hart entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Jared Crandall took the loss for Noblesville Millers Varsity.
Noblesville Millers Varsity tallied eight hits in the game. DJ Owens and Brady Walden each collected multiple hits for Noblesville Millers Varsity. Walden and Owens each collected two hits to lead Noblesville Millers Varsity. Noblesville Millers Varsity stole five bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Owens led the way with two.
Fishers collected 14 hits. Nick Lukac, Preston, and Grant Whetsel each had multiple hits for Fishers. Lukac went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Fishers in hits. Fishers was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Ethan Davies had the most chances in the field with ten.
