The Millers were at North Central High school in Indianapolis on Saturday. It was a gorgeous day for some soccer to be played.
The JV Gold team started off sluggishly and conceded a goal to North Central about 10 minutes into the game. The rest of the half was evenly divided with both sides getting chances to score.
The Millers started the second half off strong and quickly scored a goal from Drew Decker which was assisted by Kevin Davalos Olivares. The play started with Pavlos Michaeloff taking the ball into space before getting fouled. North Central responded with two goals of their own to retake the lead. The rest of the half was physical with both teams committing fouls throughout. Miles Tucker kept the Millers’ hope alive with a goal to shorten the gap with about 10′ left. However, North Central finished the match off with another goal to make the final 4-2.
The Millers are playing back to back next week at Center Grove (9/8) and at Westfield (9/9). Make sure to keep supporting your Millers.
