The JV Gold team was back at it again versus Carmel tonight at their River Road soccer complex.
The Millers started off slowly with Carmel scoring about 10′ into the game. Defenders Ashton Craig and Josh Clawson held down the back and dominated the game for long parts of the game. Soon after, midfielder Noah Adams fired a beautiful free kick around the wall and into the back of the net. However, Carmel responded quickly with a goal of their own about 5′ later.
The second half had the Millers with large amounts of possession and pressured the Carmel defense. Attacker Miles Tucker helped orchestrate the attack with good ball winning and distribution throughout. The Millers were unable to find the back of the net with mounting pressure. Carmel scored their third with a little under 5′ to go after JV Gold was pressing up high and were caught out.
The Millers have two more games this week at home Wednesday versus Zionsville and away at Avon on Thursday. Wednesday’s game is their annual pink-out game to benefit the Megan S. Ott foundation and Feeding Families of Hamilton County.
Please come out and support these two charities while enjoying a good soccer game.
