The Millers were back in action for the third time this week on the far west side of Indianapolis at Avon High School. The weather was perfect and all the conditions were right for a beautiful for a great day of soccer.
The Millers started off quickly with a headed goal from Dario Torres from a cross from Dominic Fisher. 20 seconds later, Dario Torres scored a second after winning possession high up the field. The rest of the half was spent in the Avon half with the Millers having a number of good chances. The Noblesville defense was led today by Josh Clawson, Alex Pursch, and Calvin Lighty. They shut down the Avon attack fairly well in the half.
The second half was more of a close match between the two sides. Both teams had chances but the Noblesville defense held strong and goalie Dugan Webster helped keep the shutout for the Millers. Near the end of the match, Noah Adams scored a beautiful free kick goal in the upper right hand corner of the goal. This finished off the match and finalized the score at 3-0 Noblesville.
The Millers are back in action next week against Guerin Catholic and Franklin Central. Come out to support them as they enter the final stretch of the season.
