The JV Black Millers continued their unbeaten streak and improved their record to 3-0-1 against the Brebeuf Jesuit Braves. The Millers started brightly and created many chances with Adam Greenaway putting the ball in the back of the net before it was called back for a foul and Gabe Ingle (playing field) narrowly missed. The breakthrough finally came after a save from the Brave keeper rebounded to Jack Anderson, who finished calmly to score his second goal of the season.
The Millers came out with lots of purpose in the second half and were aggressive going forward, in search of a second goal. It finally came when freshman Andrew Stansfield burst up the wing and into the Brave box to square for Brayden Doll who volleyed past the keeper to seal the win.
Both Nick Johnson (First Half) and Gabe Ingle (Second Half) worked hard to ensure the Millers didn’t concede anything. The Millers look to keep their streak going against Fishers High School on Tuesday next week.
