The JV Black Millers continued their undefeated season with a win over the Avon Orioles. The Millers took the lead in the first half when Cole Bramblett found Brayden Doll who kept his composure and placed the ball in the back of the net. Doll then turned provider as he set up Jack Anderson for the Millers second, towards the end of the half.
In the second half the Millers endured an onslaught of Oriole pressure, Nick Johnson (1st half) and Gabe Ingle (2nd half) worked hard in goal to keep the clean sheet. The Millers came close on multiple attempts to add to their lead, the closest of which appeared to be a goal for some time when Nick Johnson (playing field) worked hard to beat a couple defenders and finish one on one with the keeper, only to see his effort called back for offsides. The Millers are back in action on Thursday at home, against Brebuf Jesuit.
