The JV Black Millers got their 10th win of the season against the Lawrence Central Bears and improved their undefeated season to 10-0-4. The Millers got the scoring going early on with Gabe Ingle being set up by Jack Anderson of a deflected shot which hit the cross bar. Kyle Goad then set up Brendon Fisher for his 7th goal of the season to lead the Millers into half leading 2-0.
The Millers came out sluggish in the second half but finally settled down as Fisher then turned provider for Kyle Goad to stretch the score to 3-0. The Bears then scored off a counter-attack to make the game tense for a few minutes. Goad settled the tide when he cut into the box and was hacked down for a penalty which he calmly converted. After some changes in personal the Millers really started to dominate the closing stages, with Garret Poynter scoring two later goals off assists from Sam Dugeon and Cole Bramblett respectively. The Millers won the game 7-1 and set themselves up perfectly for their Tuesday showdown with rivals Hamilton Southeastern High School.
