GARY BLEDSOE (1982)
Baseball

Bledsoe was a four-year starter in baseball who had a 28-3 varsity record as a pitcher and was undefeated on the mound during his freshman (7-0) and junior (9-0) seasons. He led Hamilton County in batting average, pitching wins, and ERA in 1981 and as a result was named the 1981 Noblesville Ledger Player of the Year. Bledsoe was named All-County and All-Conference for four years.


COURTNEY COX (1989)
Basketball, Golf

Cox was a vital member of the Millers’ 1987 state championship basketball team. She graduated as the NHS career scoring leader with 1,869 points, a mark that still stands today, and she was named to the Indiana All-Star basketball team. The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame named her to the 2012 Silver Anniversary Team, and she is a member of the Hamilton County Basketball Hall of Fame. Cox was also a key member of the 1986 and 1987 state championship golf teams.


KRISSI DAVIS (1987)
Basketball, Volleyball

Davis was a vital member of the Millers’ 1987 state championship basketball team. She graduated as the NHS career scoring leader with 1,269 points and she was named to the Indiana All-Star basketball team. The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame named her to the 2012 Silver Anniversary Team, and she is a member of the Hamilton County Basketball Hall of Fame. Davis was also an All-County and All-Conference volleyball player.


SCOTT HAFFNER (1984)
Basketball, Baseball

Haffner was a vital member of the 1984 sectional and conference championship basketball team that went undefeated in the regular season. He graduated as the NHS career scoring leader with 1,380 points and was named to the Indiana All-Star basketball team. The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame named him to the 2009 Silver Anniversary Team, and he is a member of the Hamilton County Basketball Hall of Fame. Haffner was also an outstanding baseball player.


JENNY HORN-CLAYPOOL (1982)
Basketball, Volleyball

Horn was a four-year starter in basketball and was named All-County and All-Conference for four years. She was named All-State as a senior after averaging 18.9 points and 14 rebounds per game. She scored 34 points and collected 30 rebounds against Sheridan as a senior. Horn graduated as the NHS career scoring leader with 1,180 points and was the first 1,000 point scorer in the Girls Basketball Program’s history. The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame named her to the 2007 Silver Anniversary Team. She was also an All-County and All-Conference volleyball player.


BRIAN PURVIS (1988)
Football, Baseball

Purvis was an outstanding football and baseball player for the Millers. He was named All-State in football as a safety and was the starting quarterback for the South team in the North-South All-Star game. He set a school record for passing yards in a single game when he threw for 301 yards against Madison Heights. He threw for over 2,500 yards and 25 touchdowns in his career.

Purvis was also a four-year starter in baseball and was named 1st Team All-State in baseball during his junior and senior years. He was a starting center-fielder as a freshman for the 1985 sectional championship baseball team. He played in the Indiana High School All-Star baseball game and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Purvis graduated among the career-leaders in Indiana high school baseball history in several categories. He was sixth in home runs (27), fifth in runs scored (120), second in hits (160), second in doubles (38), and his 140 runs batted in tied him for third with Don Mattingly.


LARRY SIMMONS (1986)
Basketball, Football, Soccer

Simmons was an outstanding basketball, football, and soccer player for the Millers. He played on three sectional championship basketball teams (1984, 1985, 1986) and was a vital member of the 1984 sectional and conference championship basketball team that went undefeated in the regular season. Simmons was named All-County and All-Conference for three years and was named Hamilton County Basketball Player of the Year in 1985 and 1986. The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame named him to the 2011 Silver Anniversary Team, and he is a member of the Hamilton County Basketball Hall of Fame.
