Meet Recap

The NHS Swimming & Diving team fought local rival Hamilton Southeastern in a good meet at Noblesville. The boys competition was close with the meet winner emerging only during the final event. Individual event winners for Noblesville were Jack Wolfred in the 200 free, Evan Diamente 50 free; Dayana Popa in girl’s diving and Aaron Helms in the 500 freestyle.

Our boys and girls swimmers and divers defeated their competition at Lawrence North on Tues. The Millers individual event winners were: Dayana Popa and Jared Newman in diving; Aaron Helms in the 200 free; Cam Kramer in the 200 IM; Alexa Akers in the 100 fly; Evan Diamente in the 100 fly; Gillian Cripe in the 100 free; Isaac Johnston in the 100 free; Brooke Haflich in the 500; Jack Wolfred in the 500; Rachel Tat in the 100 breast; and Sam Bleisch in the 100 breast. Wish our team good luck and please attend the Noblesville Swim Invitational this Saturday morning at NHS!

The Freshman improved to 3-2 with a win over Westfield last night 33-14, Jordan Gadis led the way with 16 points and Brendon Fisher added 9 to help the Millers. The “B” team improved to 3-1 on the season by defeating the Shamrocks 46-15, Trenton Reed led the way with 12 points while Jayden Barrett David Cua both added 7 points and Gehrig Mickels added 6 points. The Millers are back in action on December 29th verse Lawrence North at 6:00pm.

Coach Corey Taylor’s JV Millers traveled to Westfield Friday night and won a low scoring affair by a 26-21 count.

Alex Hancock led the Millers with 6 points while Trevor Conwell chipped in 5.

The Millers are back in action Tuesday night in The Mill hosting Pike. JV tip is set for 6:00 pm.

Corby Mertens hit a floater at the buzzer to beat Westfield Friday night on the road at The Rock. The was an important Hoosier Crossroads Conference victory for the Millers as they evened their conference record at 1-1.

Mertens led the Millers with 12 points followed by Nolan Ginther with 8.

Noblesville host Pike Tuesday night (Dec. 20). JV is set to tip at 6:00 pm.

Coach Corey Taylor’s JV Millers lost to Pike Tuesday evening by a 41-33 score.

Trevor Conwell led Noblesville with 9 points. Jordan Schmidt, Xavier Hines and Ian Gibbons each added 5.

The Millers are back in action on Dec. 29 as a part of a Freshman/JV doubleheader vs. Lawrence North. The Freshman game tips at 9:00 am followed immediately by the JV.

The games will be played in The Mill.
