COLUMBUS – The Noblesville boys cross country team won the IHSAA Regional at CERAland Sports Park on Saturday, Oct. 24. It is the program’s third consecutive regional championship. Noblesville scored 106 points to edge Center Grove, which scored 110. Westfield (130), Fishers (136) and Franklin Central (143) also advanced as teams to next Saturday’s IHSAA State Finals. Senior Banner Barnes won the individual title in 15:02.3. He was also Regional Champion at last year’s Shelbyville Regional. Junior Isaiah Vohs finished second in 15:06.4, three-tenths of a second ahead of Whiteland’s Colton Watson. Senior Matt Huseman placed 24th in 15:53.2. Junior Gavin Flynn (16:14.2) and senior Josh Moller (16:16.9) finished 43rd and 45th to complete the Millers’ scoring five. Senior Jack Rush (17:00.4) and sophomore Cohen Baumer (17:01.5) placed 85th and 87th. It is Noblesville’s seventh regional title in boys cross country. The Millers also won in 1986, 1988, 1991, 1995, 2024 and 2025. Noblesville was state runner-up in 2024 and 2025. In the girls race, Noblesville placed ninth with 244 points, which concludes the Millers’ season in girls cross country. Freshman Sloan Cooper led Noblesville, placing 34th in 19:13.6. Junior Izzy Salinas followed in 35th with a time of 19:15.4. The IHSAA State Finals are Saturday, Oct. 31, at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute.
