Noblesville High School
Plainfield High School
The Millers ended their 2 game losing streak in impressive fashion Saturday, beating the Plainfield Quakers 3-0. Conditions were rather odd as the match was played on the practice at Plainfield High School and seating was limited for the spectators of both sides. The Millers went ahead in the first half when newly promoted center forward Drake Hart made a run up the middle and finished convincingly. The Millers dominated possession and were very close to adding to their lead multiple times in the first half with many chances coming off of numerous set pieces given up by the Quakers.
In the second half the floodgates opened as the Millers moved the ball where they wanted and found the net first through Sam Johnson from the right side who had looked threatening all afternoon. Ryan Cassidy scored his first goal of the season off a penalty kick which the Quaker keeper helped on it’s way in. Cassidy had been hacked down in the box and then converted the spot kick. The Millers pushed for more goals the whole game and all 20 players put in a great performance. First half keeper Andrew Gano did not need to make a save and second half keeper Josh Lewis made made one. The Millers have three games left this season with the next match coming against Lawrence Central on Thursday.
