Game Recap

The JV Millers endured their first loss of the season last night, away at Zionsville. The Millers had a lively start to the match with a blocked clearance in the box from Sam Johnson falling to Drew Barnes to placed his finish in the side netting. After going up and enduring the initial onslaught from the Eagles, Zionsville took the lead on a long distance shot to the top corner which left first half keeper Andrew Gano with no blame. Into the second half following good spells from both teams a Zionsville player met a clearance right in the face and hit the ground unconscious. After play was stopped for an elongated period of time and the paramedic rushed the player off the field and to an ambulance, the game took it’s final twist. A Zionsville player was allowed to beat three Miller defenders before blasting a shot into the top corner which also left second half keeper, Josh Lewis faultless on the play.
The Millers look to rebound against Cathedral on Thursday!
