Game Recap

Noblesville Millers Varsity took the lead late and defeated Avon 5-3 on Friday. The game was tied at two with Noblesville Millers Varsity batting in the bottom of the fifth when Alex Cleverly doubled off of Ryan Soel, driving in one run.
Kade Gorman earned the win for Noblesville Millers Varsity. He tossed two and a third innings, surrendering one run, three hits, striking out one, and walking zero. Ryan Soel took the loss for Avon. He pitched four and a third innings, giving up five runs, and five hits.
Clay Holzworth started the game for Noblesville Millers Varsity. He pitched four and two-thirds innings, surrendering two runs, seven hits, striking out one, and walking zero.
Reese Sharp went 2-for-3 at the plate as he led the team with two runs batted in.
Avon collected ten hits. Noah Navarro and Goddard each collected multiple hits for Avon. Navarro went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Avon in hits. Avon was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Stallard had the most chances in the field with six.
