Game Recap

Matt Peek drove in four on two hits to lead Noblesville Millers JV past Avon JV 18-6 on Thursday. Peek drove in runs on a single in the second and a walk in the fifth.
Avon JV scored four runs in the fourth inning, but Noblesville Millers JV still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Avon JV came thanks to a triple by C Melvin and a home run by A Griffith.
Noblesville Millers JV captured the lead in the first inning. Noblesville Millers JV scored two runs when Cade Nelis homered with one out in the first inning.
Noblesville Millers JV took the lead for good with two runs in the second inning. In the second Matt Peek singled off of L Carillo, driving in two runs.
Noblesville Millers JV scored five runs in the sixth inning. The big inning was thanks to a error and a grand slam by Andy Cleverly.
Avon JV scored four runs in the fourth inning. Avon JV’s big inning was driven by a triple by Melvin and a home run by Griffith.
Ryan Plummer earned the win for Noblesville Millers JV. He pitched three and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs, eight hits, and striking out two. Connor Vanosdol threw two innings, as two relievers helped Noblesville Millers JV finish off the victory. C Ebert took the loss for Avon JV. He tossed one and one-third innings, allowing four runs, three hits, and striking out one.
Home runs for Noblesville Millers JV came when Nelis homered in the first inning and Cleverly homered in the sixth inning.
Noblesville Millers JV collected nine hits. Zach Gruver and Peek each collected multiple hits for Noblesville Millers JV. Peek and Gruver each managed two hits to lead Noblesville Millers JV.
Griffith went 1-for-2 at the plate as he led the team with two runs batted in.
