Noblesville High School
Noblesville and Avon passed the lead back-and-forth on Tuesday, but eventually Avon prevailed 7-2. The game was tied at two with Avon batting in the bottom of the sixth when Amy Miller homered off of Brooke Herron, driving in one run.
Noblesville captured the lead in the first inning. A wild pitch by Amy Miller scored one run for Noblesville.
In the top of the fifth inning, Noblesville tied things up at two when Brooke Rundle homered with zero outs in the fifth inning.
Haylie Foster earned the win for Avon. She pitched two and two-thirds innings, allowing one run, two hits, striking out three, and walking zero. Brooke Herron took the loss for Noblesville. She threw six innings, allowing seven runs, 13 hits, and walking zero.
Miller started the game for Avon. She tossed four innings, surrendering one run, two hits, striking out two, and walking zero.
Rundle and Grace Smith each drove in one run to lead Noblesville.
Avon collected 13 hits. Tiara Edwards, Miller, Sydnie Foster, and Kamrie Foster each collected multiple hits for Avon.
