Noblesville Millers Freshman’s effort to come back from down four runs in the fifth inning came up just short, as they fell 5-4 to McCutcheon on Monday. Noblesville Millers Freshman scored three runs on a home run in the fifth inning.

McCutcheon captured the lead in the first inning. Grant Braun walked Kingma with the bases loaded to drive in a run.
Noblesville Millers Freshman knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the fourth inning. A wild pitch by Ayers scored one run for Noblesville Millers Freshman.
Kingma earned the win for McCutcheon. He threw three innings, allowing one run, three hits, striking out two, and walking one. Braun took the loss for Noblesville Millers Freshman. He pitched four innings, surrendering three runs, five hits, and striking out four.
Ayers started the game for McCutcheon. He pitched four innings, giving up three runs, one hit, and striking out nine.
Alex Hewitt went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Noblesville Millers Freshman in hits.
Kingma went 0-for-2 at the plate as he led the team with two runs batted in.
