Noblesville Millers JV defeated Brownsburg JV 1-0 on Wednesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Adam Bales got Compton to hit into a fielder’s choice to finish off the game.
Noblesville Millers JV didn’t take the lead until later in the game. Cade Nelis singled on a 1-0 count in the seventh inning, scoring one run.
A single by Nomady in the first inning was a positive for Brownsburg JV.
Zach Gruver earned the win for Noblesville Millers JV. He went six and two-thirds innings, allowing zero runs, five hits, and striking out seven. Adam Bales recorded the last out to earn the save for Noblesville Millers JV. Jackson took the loss for Brownsburg JV. He tossed six and a third innings, allowing one run, three hits, and striking out five.
Matt Peek, Nelis, A.J. Gray, and Andy Cleverly each managed one hit to lead Noblesville Millers JV.
Brownsburg JV collected five hits. Nomady and Reams each collected multiple hits for Brownsburg JV. Brownsburg JV didn’t commit a single error in the field. Compton had five chances in the field, the most on the team.
