Meet Recap
The Noblesville Noblesville Millers wrestling team finished in 2nd place in Saturday’s IHSAA Sectional at Elwood Community High School.
The Millers qualified 10 wrestlers to the Pendleton Heights Regional. Of the 10 wrestlers who advanced, Noblesville had 4 champions: Nick Brady, Dalton Huffman, Noah Long, and Ashton Mills; who all had impressive showings on Saturday.
Runner-ups Ryan Leslie and Sam Wertz, along with 3rd place finishers Gary Kitko and David Kitko were also strong.
4th placers Ryan Bell and a surprising Zack Knoll also qualified for Regional. The Millers fought hard all day, but just could not catch Sectional champion Pendleton Heights in what was yet another close match for the third time this season.
Noblesville does not advance as a team to Regional, but the 10 student-athletes who did advance will compete at Saturday’s 9:30 a.m. Pendleton Heights Regional.
